… From atop a beer crate to the back of a truck……
The first time I entered Parliament, I launched my campaign from atop a beer crate. From small beginnings come great things!
Today, we launched my campaign in the Tauranga electorate from the back of a truck. About 400 people were gathered around. Entertainer, and our NZ First candidate for the East Coast, Brendan Horan, warmed the crowd up before I spoke. The people of Tauranga are always a great audience and today was no exception.
Our message to the people of Tauranga is simple.
Politics is about action. There are plenty of people who make a lot of noise and use up their energy but only a few get the job done.
Even during the last three years, while Clarkson went about making a fool of himself in Wellington, we still delivered for the people of Tauranga – namely a new harbour bridge.
Now Tauranga needs a tunnel and an MP who can get it built. It also needs a new Police station to accommodate the extra Police we secured as part of our support for the present Government.
We can deliver these things for Tauranga and more. New Zealand First is all about support and investment for our communities. We won’t let governments rip the heart out of our economy like they did in the 1990s. Our motto this election is to protect and save YOUR New Zealand.
