Winston says...

…. we’re in Rimutaka……

I am in the Rimutaka electorate today, campaigning with Ron Mark. We were alerted to the following headline appearing on news websites:

Armed Offenders Squad searching Upper Hutt for fugitive

We want to assure everyone that, despite what the National and Act parties would have you believe neither Ron nor myself are fugitives from the law! The AOS won’t be looking for us unless it’s to shake our hand and thank us for what NZ First has done to bolster the Police force. We have no weapons. The only things Ron and I are armed with as we go about the homes, businesses and streets of the Rimutaka electorate are our wits, our handshakes and our promise that we will again deliver on NZ First policies if elected back to Parliament.

    Good luck Ron, you are a great advocate for law and order, and an asset to our parlimentary debate. New Zealand First has some good people!
    Despite the negative spin about your activities today on the TV I think its great that Mr Peters supported your campaigning in your electorate today, as he did for my Asenati Lole-Taylor in Maungakiekie electorate.

    Well Mr Peters you can put your feet up tonight and have a couple of beers as I will. The mud slinging has stopped the media “experts” can do us no more harm and the people will weigh up all the nonsense that has gone before and tick the box their conscience guides them to.     Good luck Ron and Winston for the Rimutaka seat and the 5% thresh hold…I hope the people of this country are able to think for themselves…..and not allow media with a vendetta (It remindes me of the old sheep jokes and I don’t much like being treated in this manor) and other parties who fear you in parliment to have their way….I am quietly confident that the numbers will add up at the end of the day…You are needed there…sitting between the left and the right…

    I as a new zealander am proud to see New Zealand First making a stand on the same issues i stood for when the party was formed…watertight ..not watered down policies..
    so refreshing to see a party on the streets talking to ‘real’ people with ‘real issues’and working together to make a ‘real difference’
    ..well going on the ‘real people’ i spoke to yesterday with our candidate, New Zealand First has defended the beaches..the trenches..the streets and most of all put this country first and foremost…despite the ‘hobbling’ the dark horse will bolt in and our country will be the winner

    Any NZ First internal polling on Ron’s chances in Rimutaka.? We are trying to vote strategically in our household(4 votes)to keep that halfwit Key out. He will be an absolute disaster for NZ.Good luck to NZ First!

    Winston says: We haven’t done internal polling, but Ron is very confident and we’ve heard other polls showing it is a very, very tight race there.

    I have had personal dealings with Ron Mark - he is a man of his word, an absolute honest and trustworthy individual. A man of mana and principle, a man I would be proud to see represent me in Parliament.
