Thanks very much for all you have done for us Winston...now we shall have to be a lot braver and do more for ourselves. NATIONALISM is on the rise EVERYWHERE . It is an unstoppable force , in spite of anything our socialist friends may tell us; so I am going to start helping our local nationalists with their spelling and writing. They may not have had years at the best schools , but what they lack in education , they make up in COURAGE and committment.
Thanks once again Winston , thanks for your courage and remember
   BLESSED ARE THE PERSECUTED...

its not over...
anyone with an ounce of sense knows it was an orchestrated ousting..with hide as the conductor..anyone who thinks otherwise is obviously dim! it was so blatant and unfortunately the party suffered through the public falling for it...
i think too we as a country saw ourselves as living in a bubble instead of being naturally affected by a global situation

National pulled themselves so far over to the centre that nz firsts 'uniqueness' (not to mention majority of policy!!) was picked up by national..one can only hope they will deliver on what they have promised with a social conscience and not be swayed by act on the far right..who when you look at it were only endorsed by just over 3% of the country...hide and douglas could quite simply screw this country if given free rein.

Although gutting... i actually think in a way last night was a good
result..we will regroup and build the party stronger standing by the policies weve stood by proudly and implemented over the last decade..its not going to be an easy term for the incoming govt as the effects from international events kick in over the next 12 mnths..and 3 yrs i can honestly see another knee jerk reaction from the voting public as a result..3 years to focus on getting the party machine well oiled and pointing out what we can do better could well be the best thing to happen to nz first..albeit harder from outside looking in..the public WILL see what theyre missing..its all up to us..we can and will do it..we'll be back

Dear Winston

I want to remind you Winston of the great things you have done as a member of our government and parliament over the years. You have been courageous when battling the large business groups, you have been tenacious when comparing the facts to the story, you have been focused when building our relationships overseas and you have been committed to leading a party that did represent NZ citizens, people like me. Dont ever forget what you have contributed to our country in the capacity of being a member of parliament. You know anyone can be a manager or the head of a group, only very very few have the ability to be a leader - you ARE one of those people Winston. A leader who inspires, encourages others to take the next step, cares about and has a natural ability to invoke a sense of quality.
I met you once Winston (a long time ago) when I was a student - you were speaking at the University, I hung around and listened to you speak, I knew after hearing you that you were someone special and that NZ First was a party who offered better choices. I made sure I got to shake your hand afterwards.
A big heartfelt thankyou for your contribution to our country. We respect you as a man of integrity who was one of the defining politicians for NZ who will remain so. Look after yourself you should think about writing a book on your political experiences. We love you, respect you and will miss you - good luck with what ever you choose to do - look forward to hearing about whatever that is.
