..students are New Zealand’s future………

We had a wonderful time at Otago University today. It is a great, historic institution and the several hundred students encountered were intelligent, honest and just a little bit cheeky!

…New Zealanders can make up their own minds…

Thank you to those who have emailed, written or phoned in your support to our offices over the past few weeks.  Like me, it seems many of you are sick of this self-perpetuating cycle of baseless allegation and counter-allegation that too many journalists have decided constitutes “news”.  Only in New Zealand could one journalist make an accusation, ask another journalist for his or her opinion on the matter and then pronounce a verdict of guilt to the country!

..I’ll be appearing on Maori TV..

Read their press release.

“An exclusive and candid interview with Winston Peters will screen in Maori Television’s indigenous current affairs show NATIVE AFFAIRS on Monday September 15 at 8.00 PM. The 30-minute interview follows many weeks of controversy over allegations of large, unreported donations to his party, and his subsequent appearance in front of a Parliamentary select committee.”

This is my speech to Grey Power Howick/Pakaranga today. Apparently it has upset the media.

“Thank you for your invitation to be here today.

If you believe some media reports you were probably expecting some kind of monster with a red coat, forked feet, horns, and a tail, breathing fire and smoke!
